The Christian Evangelical and Social Movement (CESM) was established in 1977 by Pastor Austen Chimdi Ukachi. Rooted in a vision of uniting faith and social responsibility, CESM has grown into a dynamic Christian movement, touching lives across Nigeria, West Africa, and beyond.

Our mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while addressing social issues within families, communities, and nations. Through prayer, evangelism, and acts of compassion, CESM empowers individuals and inspires collective transformation.

Our Leaders Pastor Austen Chimdi Ukachi Pastor Austen Chimdi Ukachi is the visionary founder of CESM and He's Alive Chapel. Born on May 6, 1953, in Kano, Nigeria, Pastor Ukachi surrendered his life to Christ in 1968 and has since been a trailblazer in Christian ministry. With a degree in History and Human Resources Management from the University of Ibadan, he worked with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for 24 years, rising to the position of Zonal Manager before fully dedicating himself to ministry.

He is a prolific author with books such as "Daily Guide for Revival Seekers" and "Experiencing the God of Wonders" among his works. He has played significant roles in international ministries like the Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization and the Billion Souls Harvest. Under his leadership, CESM and He's Alive Chapel have flourished, with over 40 branches globally.

Pastor Ukachi is married to Oluyide Folasade, and they are blessed with four children.
